Karen was very attentive and sent many photos. It's always hard to leave the cats for such a long time. But Karen was surely dedicated to giving lots of pets and playtime, along with the necessary needs and food. She was recommended by our next door neighbor who have 2 dogs, one who is quite aloof and they were very pleased as well. We would recommend Karen to care for your pets.

Karen went above and beyond our kitties. She took extra time to bond with our two shy kitties and coerce one of them to take her medication, not an easy task. Karen did a great job with Hunter, my dog. He is a one person pooch and gets very anxious when I leave home but Hunter seemed comfortable with Karen immediately. I could tell from the pictures and videos that he was happy and when I returned he was excited to see me but not at all anxious like he had been after my previous vacations. Karen did a fantastic job with Hunter and I will definitely ask her to watch him again.

Karen was excellent! We have 2 very anxious cats and decided this time to leave them home and have someone check on them. She was able to coax Maeve out from under the bed on day 1, (astounding!) and River took a bit longer but did warm up. Karen was very communicative and sent excellent pictures every day. We definitely were able to enjoy our vacation more with the daily updates we received. We would definitely work with her again and recommend as a pet sitter!

Karen is a wonderful sitter! She was able to quickly bond with our three cats (who are not always easy), and her updates and photos completely set our minds at ease and allowed us to focus on our travel and family gathering. She is reliable, attentive to any unforeseen issues that crop up, and adapted smoothly to a change in schedule that cropped up due to flight delays. Very highly recommended— we will certainly book with her again!

Karen did an AMAZING job housesitting for our 2 husky/husky mixes for 6 nights. She is extremely communicative, prompt, and responsible. She truly loves animals and it shows. One of our dogs is anxious, more so when we're away, so we were a bit apprehensive. Karen was so patient with her and did a fantastic job earning her trust - not by coming on too strong, but just by learning her ways. She sent tons of pix and updates. She was respectful of our home, left it in great shape, and generally went above and beyond with all of her services. Thank you Karen!

I respect each pet’s need to be acknowledged, understood and appreciated. And I go out of my way to fulfill those important needs. Pet parents often tell me they are surprised how quickly their pet warms up to me. I think it’s because animals instinctively recognize pet empathy in a person’s soul. They see me walk into a room or a dog park and there’s usually an immediate connection. I love that.

Burrito to love
That’s Taco AKA “Burrito” (a Corgi Chihuahua mix) walking along Lake Chelan. He followed my 12-year old daughter home from school in 2004. We spent a month looking for his owner, hanging up signs on poles, placing ads online, going to vets, checking in at the Human Society – to no avail. We couldn’t believe that someone would just drop him off at a school ground. But Taco did adopt us and we hung out together for 15 great years.
